Dala Puttuwa
Wild in Galgamuwa, Kurunegala
The crossed tusker of Galgamuwa, whose downward-curving tusks made the crossing rare. Blinded by a close-range gunshot and scarred by trap guns, he was revered by villagers, who saw him as the vehicle of God Aiyanayake. He was killed for his tusks in November 2017.
